So I guess I never knew we were getting these as a Dodge until I saw a lot full of them today.

Oh, I also saw my first 2014 Cherokee! It took a turn wide and hit the curb right in front of me before I realized what it was. Slightly less ugly in person.

Not "Dodge", a "Ram". Ram is it's own brand now, remember. Just the other day, I forgot that fact and did a double-take at a Ram Cargo Van, formerly the Caravan C/V:

Anyway, back to the Ram ProMaster. I haven't seen one of these in the flesh yet. At least, not branded as a Ram. This past summer, I did see a German-registered Hymer motorhome on the same Fiat/Citroën/Peugeot/Ram chassis.

I actually really like these things, especially the SWB short roof. It looks like a bulldog. That's the first one we got, a high roof LWB.

The Ram Van was a Dodge.

I didn't forget that it existed, I forgot that Ram is a full brand now, just like Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep are.

Ram and SRT are not brands to me until they get their own dealerships. I just don't get it. :P

Jeep, Chrysler, and Dodge aren't sold in different dealerships, either. They're all sold under the same roof. I've never seen any Dodge Wranglers or Dodge 300s. For that matter, there's no Ford Navigators or Chevrolet CTSs, either.

I agree that Ram is a silly brand, though. Chryslers and Jeeps look different than Dodges. Rams are just Dodges with "RAM" emblems.

Yeah, I guess that's sort of what I meant. :P In any case, it should have been a Fiat. America already has Fiats so it wouldn't be TOO much of a problem. I mean, yes, people trust Dod- RAM to make good utility vehicles, so I'm sure it is going to help sales somewhat, but still. We're not getting anywhere with Fiat if we'll only ever take in one of their models properly.

RAM ProMaster 1500 - what an awful name for a car. It sounds like the name for a blender.
